It all began with radius dish!

My name is Ned, I am the founder of Radius Dish UK.
I have been playing a guitar for over 20 years and was always curios about "how it's made" part.
Several years ago, I decided I wanted to build my own acoustic guitar and as soon as I started researching about tools and jigs needed, I realised how poor UK's luthier market was.
Mainly jigs were available from the States and with added import duties and postage, the prices were(are) too high.
It took long a time to figure out how to make a radius dish, to decide which method to use and which method was safe enough. Finally, managed to build a jig for the 15ft dish and later added 28ft. That was a very messy job!
Now we use CNC machines to do this job and we offer the most common radii used in guitar and ukulele building.
I built my first acoustic guitar in the shared basement parking lot using only very basic tools and with no woodworking experience. So everything is possible!
I was never interested in the sales part, so I reached out to other UK luthier suppliers with proposition to sell my radius dishes and other jigs, but no one even replied to me. This was very surprising as it was a unique product, previously unavailable in the UK. This left me with no choice and I had decided to try and do my own thing.
Today we can offer many different types of luthier jigs, this includes moulds and templates for over 20 different guitar shapes, ukuleles, mandolins, violin. Other than jigs, we offer tonewood, customised guitar building kits, finished parts like finished bridge and fretboards and many more interesting products.
