Ancient bog oak. This bog oak was not carbon dated, but it's completely jet black which means it’s very old. According to Google, jet black bog wood is considered to be over 4000 years old.
Please note, this is not a stable piece of wood. There are cracks and splits and it will be stabilising before using it, ether with epoxy resin or other methods.
